This powder coat gun is designed to powder coat wheels, frames, calipers, brackets and other metal workpieces. You can also provide your own color design for sculptures, jewelery, home garden and kitchen items.

Tribo powder coating gun is very robust and reliable because it uses no electrical components.
This powder coat gun will last for years.

You do not need an electrical transformer or electrical supply. This gun works anywhere in the world with a proper ground plug adapter.

Spare powder containers are available. Keep all the powder in its own container so that your container does not have to be cleaned in between colors.

How to use:

Remove all old paint and degrease a workpiece that you are going to powder coat.

Connect an air compressor (2 hp motor / 24 liter reservoir recommended) to the powder coating gun. powder coat the workpiece with powder in a color of your choice.

Heat workpiece in an oven according to powder schedule stated on packaging usually anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes at 170 to 200 ° C / 360 to 392 ° F.

The workpiece can be used and mounted once it has cooled to room temperature.

How Tribo powder coating system works:

Powders are charged electrostatically as they rub between a wavy Teflon tube in the gun nozzle. This creates static charge just like when you rub your hair with a balloon.
The powder then adheres to a grounded workpiece.
Powder adheres firmly even when your workpiece is shaken. As soon as the workpiece is heated to the temperature and time that apply to the powder used, curing will take place.
This Tribo process is different from a corona process in which powder is charged through a high-voltage transformer up to 100 kilovolts.
Due to this extremely high voltage, positive and negatively charged particles (powder) are attracted and powder is attracted to a workpiece.

+ Any type and quality of powder can be used.
+ Can be set more precisely on layer thickness, which makes it especially advantageous to spray during mass production.

- High voltage risk of flashover if used incorrectly.
- Not suitable for persons with pacemakers or hypersensitivity to voltage fields.


Tribo:

+ Less problems when coating in small corners and shielded parts due to the Faraday effect cage.
+ Tribo powder coating is also safer due to the absence of such a high voltage.
+ More layers of build-up possible than with corona system because the powder does not depend on built-up static charge build-up.
+ Also suitable for less / poor or even non-conductive materials, glass, plastic, wood and ceramics.

- Risk of clumping and clogging due to reduced quality of powder, metallic and textured powders.
- Requires more testing and experience than a corona system.
Why powder coating is better than liquid paint:

Almost no volatile organic compounds are released

Powder coating is very easy to apply and does not require any special skills and various roughing in the form of sanding and fine filling.

Scratches are automatically removed by the powder coating.
Powder coating can be used as a one coat treatment.

Too thick layer of powder coating does not drain. No chance of sags and drippers like with a liquid coating.

Powder coating is much more resistant to wear, solvents and various chemicals. Problems with bird droppings stains in car paint do not have powder coating.

Powder that has ended up next to the work can be collected and in most cases reused after filtering.

Powder coating does not require facilities to dry parts for an extended period of time.
